Sirius music lessons

§1 — Number of lessons

The number of lessons depends on the selected duration and number of lessons:

  • 6-month duration: 12, 24 or 48 lessons
  • 12-month duration: 24, 48 or 96 lessons
§2 — Place of instruction
  1. Lessons take place online via live video transmission at the agreed lesson times.
  2. The length of a lesson depends on the duration specified in the contract.
§3 — Booking and participation
  1. Appointments are booked by the responsible teacher.

    • The next booked appointment is binding and therefore cannot be cancelled.
    • If the student cancels lessons within less than 24 hours, even in the event of short-term illness or other reasons, such as vacation or school events, he or she is not entitled to a refund or reduction of contributions. There is also no right to catch up lessons or to reschedule the lesson date.
    • Cancellations due to illness upon presentation of a medical certificate are excluded. The certificate must be received by the SIRIUS administration before the lesson date.
  2. The lessons are to be consumed over the course of the selected duration (corresponds to an average of 2, 4 or 8 lessons per month).

    • If the hourly quota is used up early, additional hourly packages can be purchased as an option.
§4 — Changes to the lesson package

The lesson package can be switched to a lesson package with a higher scope of services at any time, with immediate effect or with effect from the next billing period. In the event of an immediate change, the correspondingly higher costs for the entire started billing period (thus also retroactively) will be calculated on the next billing.

§5 — Tuition fees and terms of payment
  1. The contributions are monthly deductions on the teaching units (contingent) agreed during the term.
  2. The contributions are payable monthly in advance. Payment is made by direct debit at the start of the service period, starting on the date the contract begins or on the following working day.
  3. The contributions must be paid using a payment method offered on the platform.
  4. In the event of an unfounded chargeback, the chargeback fees charged by the bank and the payment provider by Sirius will be charged to the customer.
  5. The customer is only entitled to set off his own claims against claims from Sirius if his claims (a) have been legally established; (b) are undisputed; or (c) have been accepted by Sirius.
§6 — Contract period, pause and termination
  1. The term extends over the selected period (6 or 12 months).
  2. Classes can be paused for a maximum of two weeks within 6 months. A break must be communicated in writing to Sirius and the teacher at least one month in advance. The pause should be sent to the email support@sirius.video, otherwise it will be considered invalid. For a 12-month teaching package, the contract can be paused for up to four weeks. During the break, no tuition costs will be charged by Sirius and the contract term will be extended by the corresponding period.
  3. After the term has expired, the contract is extended for another package with the same conditions (units, period and price). If this is not desired by the user, termination can be made in writing from the time the contract is concluded up to 1 month before the end of the contract term at the latest (support@sirius.video), thus preventing the subsequent extension. Otherwise, the contract will be extended for another package with the same conditions (units, period and price). If notice is not given, the current contract will be extended without any further right of cancellation.
§7 — Instrument rental
  1. The term of the rental agreement for a loan instrument is 6 months.
  2. The rental agreement can be sent at any time in writing by email to support@sirius.video be terminated with a notice period of one month, but no earlier than 6 months after the start of the rental agreement. The termination only becomes effective when the instrument is returned in due time, at the latest at the end of the rental period.
  3. The landlord covers the costs of maintenance, repair and repairs due to wear and tear. The tenant is liable in the event of loss/theft of the instrument as well as for damage caused by intent or gross negligence. In the event of damage or loss/theft of the instrument, the tenant undertakes to report the damage to the landlord immediately (within 10 days). The repair is carried out exclusively by the landlord at his expense.
§8 — New organizational regulations

The SIRIUS administration reserves the right to make new regulations with regard to teaching and organization, such as changing appointments, employing another teacher and adjusting tariffs at any time in the event of changes in the range of lessons offered.

§9 — Amendments to the general terms and conditions/ right of amendment

We are entitled to unilaterally amend these general terms and conditions insofar as this is necessary to eliminate subsequent equivalence disorders or to adapt to changes in legal or technical framework conditions. We will inform the customer of a change by notifying the content of the amended regulations to the customer's last known email address. The change becomes part of the contract if the customer does not object to the inclusion in the contractual relationship with us in writing or text form within six weeks of receipt of notification of the change.
